โ OPERATIONAL TRANSPARENCY ยท LAST UPDATED 2026-05-27 โ
OUR TANK TODAY
The chemistry and operating conditions your coral has been living in. Match within reason and the transition into your reef is uneventful.
WHY THIS PAGE EXISTS: Most coral shops won't tell you the exact parameters their systems run. We do, because the single biggest predictor of a smooth transition into your reef is how closely your water chemistry matches ours on day one. Numbers below are current as of 2026-05-27.
WATER CHEMISTRY
Canonical targets across all REEF JASE systems. Stability inside the range matters more than the exact number.
| Parameter | Current Target | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Alkalinity | 7.5 โ 8.0 dKH | Stability matters more than the absolute number. Variance under 0.5 dKH/day. |
| Salinity | 1.025 โ 1.027 sg | Reef-standard range. Float bag to match temp; no drip needed within ยฑ0.001. |
| Temperature | 77 โ 78 ยฐF | Stable across all systems via inline heaters and ambient room control. |
| Nitrate (NOโ) | 5 โ 10 ppm | Measurable nutrients are required for SPS color โ barren water is the enemy. |
| Phosphate (POโ) | 0.05 โ 0.10 ppm | Same logic as nitrate. Phos undetectable is a problem, not a goal. |
| Calcium | 420 โ 450 ppm | Standard range for SPS-heavy systems. Maintained by two-part / kalk supplementation. |
| Magnesium | 1350 โ 1440 ppm | Holds alk and Ca in balance. Tested weekly. |
